Brahmanbaria, February 11, 2025:
BRAC Bank organized a School Banking Conference in Brahmanbaria. The bank arranged the conference as the lead bank under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank.
The conference aimed to educate students about banking services and instill a savings culture with the necessary financial knowledge and awareness from an early age. The event brought together all banks operating in Brahmanbaria, along with many students, teachers, parents, and guardians, to promote awareness of modern banking practices and financial literacy.
The countrywide awareness program is part of Bangladesh Bank’s financial inclusion and financial literacy initiative. The Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank drives the school banking conference in every district of the country to raise students’ awareness about banking and financial services.
The conference was held on February 11, 2025, at the City Community Centre of Brahmanbaria, and 30 banks operating in that district participated. Mohammad Jamal Uddin, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Chattogram Office, attended the conference as the chief guest.
Special guests, including Md. Arifuzzaman, Director, Bangladesh Bank, Chattogram Office; Qazi Mutmainna Tahmida, Additional Director, Bangladesh Bank, Head Office; Md. Mubarak Hossain, Deputy General Manager, Sonali Bank PLC.; Md. Zulfikar Hosen, District Education Officer, Brahmanbaria; Rezaur Rahman, Regional Head, Sylhet Region, BRAC Bank; and guardians of the students were also present at the conference.
The school banking conference began with a vibrant rally that concluded at the conference venue. Participants engaged in an interactive quiz contest organized by Bangladesh Bank, with prizes awarded to the winners. The event also featured cultural performances by local students, showcasing their talents and adding to the festive atmosphere.
As the Lead Bank, BRAC Bank is proud to have driven this initiative, ensuring that students in Brahmanbaria are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the banking landscape effectively.

বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের নির্দেশনায় লিড ব্যাংক হিসেবে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেলায় স্কুল ব্যাংকিং কনফারেন্সের আয়োজন করেছে ব্র্যাক ব্যাংক।
স্কুল ব্যাংকিং কনফারেন্স আয়োজনের লক্ষ্য হলো, ব্যাংকিং সেবা সম্পর্কে শিক্ষার্থীদের জ্ঞান সমৃদ্ধ করা এবং ছোটবেলা থেকেই তাঁদের প্রয়োজনীয় আর্থিক জ্ঞান ও সচেতনতাসহ সঞ্চয়ের অভ্যাস গড়ে তুলতে উদ্বুদ্ধ করা। এই অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নিয়েছে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেলায় পরিচালিত সকল ব্যাংক, বেশ কয়েকটি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানের শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষক এবং অভিভাবকরা। আয়োজনে আধুনিক ব্যাংকিং প্র্যাকটিস ও আর্থিক সাক্ষরতা নিয়ে সেশন পরিচালনা করা হয়।
বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের আর্থিক অন্তর্ভুক্তি ও আর্থিক সাক্ষরতা উদ্যোগের অংশ হিসেবে দেশব্যাপী এমন কনফারেন্সের আয়োজন করা হয়। বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের ফাইন্যান্সিয়াল ইনক্লুশন ডিপার্টমেন্ট শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে ব্যাংকিং ও আর্থিক সেবা সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে দেশের প্রতিটি জেলায় স্কুল ব্যাংকিং কনফারেন্স পরিচালনা করে থাকে।
১১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৫ ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার পৌর কমিউনিটি সেন্টারে অনুষ্ঠিত এই কনফারেন্সে অংশগ্রহণ করে উক্ত জেলায় পরিচালিত ৩০টি ব্যাংক। আয়োজনে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক চট্টগ্রাম অফিসের নির্বাহী পরিচালক মোহাম্মদ জামাল উদ্দিন।
বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক চট্টগ্রাম অফিসের পরিচালক মো. আরিফুজ্জামান, বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক প্রধান কার্যালয়ের অতিরিক্ত পরিচালক কাজী মুতমাইন্না তাহমিদা, সোনালী ব্যাংক পিএলসি-এর উপ-মহাব্যবস্থাপক মো. মোবারক হোসেন, ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার জেলা শিক্ষা অফিসার মো. জুলফিকার হোসেন, ব্র্যাক ব্যাংকের সিলেট রিজিওনের রিজিওনাল হেড রেজাউর রহমান এবং অভিভাবকরা।
শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণে এদিন স্কুল ব্যাংকিং কনাফারেন্স শুরু হয় র্যালির মধ্য দিয়ে। অনুষ্ঠানে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের পরিচালনায় শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতারও আয়োজন করা হয়। পরবর্তীতে বিজয়ী শিক্ষার্থীদের হাতে পুরস্কার তুলে দেন অতিথিরা। অনুষ্ঠান শেষ হয় শিক্ষার্থীদের মনোমুগ্ধকর সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশনার মধ্য দিয়ে, যেখানে তাঁরা তাঁদের প্রতিভার স্বাক্ষর রেখেছেন।
বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের নির্দেশনায় লিড ব্যাংক হিসেবে এমন আয়োজন সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করতে পেরে ব্র্যাক ব্যাংক গর্বিত। ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেলার শিক্ষার্থীরা যাতে সদা পরিবর্তনশীল আধুনিক বিশ্বে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যাংকিং জ্ঞান ও আর্থিক দক্ষতা নিয়ে এগিয়ে যেতে পারে, সেই লক্ষ্যেই এই কনফারেন্স সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
