Monirul Islam, a Bangladeshi graduate of Ural Federal University (UrFU PhD program) “International Economics” is a researcher at the (UrFU), Laboratory of International and Regional Economics, Russia was ranked among the top ten young economists in the world by Research Papers in Economics (RePEc).
The scientist ranks ninth in the top 100 ranking, which takes into account the publication activity.
Monirul Islam is engaged in modeling and actively publishes in leading international scientific publications. Using economic models, he determines the impact of the global energy transition and geopolitical risks on international trade in mineral resources.
“It is an immense pleasure and honor for me to occupy an honorable position in this ranking. This is a recognition of my dedication to economics, and I am full of gratitude to my research supervisor Kazi Sohag and the head of the Department of Economics Oleg Mariev who played an important role in this success, Monirul Islam remarked.
He said, I am sincerely grateful for my co-authors and colleagues in the laboratory for the opportunity to work with such outstanding people and hope to make further contributions to economic research,”.

ইউরাল ফেডারেল ইউনিভার্সিটি (UrFU) পিএইচডি প্রোগ্রাম “ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইকোনমিক্স” থেকে স্নাতক ডিগ্রিধারী মনিরুল ইসলাম রাশিয়ার (UrFU), ল্যাবরেটরির আন্তর্জাতিক ও আঞ্চলিক অর্থনীতির একজন গবেষক। রিসার্চ পেপারস ইন ইকোনমিক্স (RePEc) কর্তৃক বিশ্বের শীর্ষ দশ তরুণ অর্থনীতিবিদদের মধ্যে স্থান পেয়েছেন এই বিজ্ঞানী।
প্রকাশনা কার্যকলাপ বিবেচনা করে শীর্ষ ১০০ র্যাঙ্কিংয়ে নবম স্থানে রয়েছেন এই বিজ্ঞানী।
মনিরুল ইসলাম মডেলিংয়ে নিযুক্ত এবং শীর্ষস্থানীয় আন্তর্জাতিক বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রকাশনাগুলিতে সক্রিয়ভাবে প্রকাশনা করেন। অর্থনৈতিক মডেল ব্যবহার করে, তিনি খনিজ সম্পদের আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্যের উপর বিশ্বব্যাপী শক্তি পরিবর্তন এবং ভূ-রাজনৈতিক ঝুঁকির প্রভাব নির্ধারণ করেন।
