The decision was made at the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee – the moon of the holy month of Ramadan has been sighted in the sky of Bangladesh today, the holy month of Ramadan has begun with the gift of mercy, forgiveness and salvation.
The counting of the holy month of Ramadan has begun from Sunday, March 2, the first fast. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said that the first 10 days of the month of Ramadan are mercy, the second 10 days are forgiveness and the last 10 days are salvation.
In the hope of obtaining this benefit through the satisfaction of Allah the Almighty, devout Muslims will refrain from eating and drinking for a certain period of time and devote this month to self-purification.
The holy Laylatul Qadr will be celebrated on the night of Thursday, March 27. After the meeting of the Moon Sighting Committee on Monday evening, State Minister for Religion Faridul Haque Khan said that the moon of the holy month of Ramadan of 1445 Hijri has been sighted in the sky of Bangladesh. As a result, the holy month of Ramadan will be counted from Tuesday (today).
The holy month of Ramadan is a very virtuous month for Muslims. After the moon was sighted, the devout Muslims of the country performed Tarawih prayers after the Isha prayers last night. They started fasting by eating Sehri at dawn. After a month-long fast, they will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
শুরু হলো পবিত্র রমজান মাস, কাল প্রথম রোজা

জাতীয় চাঁদ দেখা কমিটির সভায় সিদ্ধান্ত-বাংলাদেশের আকাশে আজ পবিত্র রমজান মাসের চাঁদ দেখা গেছে, রহমত, মাগফিরাত ও নাজাতের সওগাত নিয়ে শুরু হলো পবিত্র মাহে রমজান।
২ মার্চ রবিবার থেকে পবিত্র রমজান মাস গণনা শুরু, প্রথম রোজা। মহানবী হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.) বলেছেন, রমজান মাসের প্রথম ১০ দিন রহমত, দ্বিতীয় ১০ দিন মাগফিরাত এবং শেষ ১০ দিন নাজাতের।
মহান আল্লাহ পাকের সন্তুষ্টি লাভের মাধ্যমে এই ফায়দা প্রাপ্তির আশায় ধর্মপ্রাণ মুসলমানরা নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত পানাহারে বিরত থেকে এই মাস আত্মশুদ্ধির সাধনায় নিবেদিত থাকবেন।
আগামী ২৭ মার্চ বৃহস্পতিবার দিবাগত রাতে পালিত হবে পবিত্র লাইলাতুল কদর। গতকাল সোমবার সন্ধ্যায় চাঁদ দেখা কমিটির বৈঠক শেষে ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী ফরিদুল হক খান জানান, বাংলাদেশের আকাশে ১৪৪৫ হিজরি সনের পবিত্র রমজান মাসের চাঁদ দেখা গেছে। ফলে মঙ্গলবার (আজ) থেকে পবিত্র রমজান মাস গণনা করা হবে।
পবিত্র রমজান মুসলমানদের কাছে অত্যন্ত ফজিলতপূর্ণ মাস। চাঁদ দেখার পর দেশের ধর্মপ্রাণ মুসলমানরা গত রাতে এশার নামাজ শেষে তারাবির নামাজ আদায় করেন। ভোররাতে সেহরি খেয়ে রোজা রাখা শুরু করেন। মাসব্যাপী সিয়াম সাধনার পর ঈদুল ফিতর উদযাপন করবেন তারা।
