The Russian House in Dhaka celebrated 50 Years of establishment in Bangladesh.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander Khozin and Director General of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Dr. Syed Jamil Ahmed, Pavel Dvoychenkov, Director, Russian House in Dhaka was present in the celebration ceremony.
Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on Tuesday laid emphasis on working together with Moscow to address regional and global challenges and advance the Bangladeshi-Russia ties as strong as ever.
“Our two countries also need to continue the legacy of bonhomie, work together to address regional and global challenges, and ensure that the bonds between Bangladesh and Russia remain as strong as ever,” he said.
Over the decades, it has become a hub for cultural diplomacy, fostering strong ties in education, arts and literature, and further strengthening the historical bonds between our two nations”, noted Ambassador Alexander Khozin.
Beyond education, the Russian House has been a hub for cultural diplomacy, offering language courses, exhibitions, film screenings, and academic collaborations, said Pavel Dvoychenkov, Director, Russian House.
In his video greetings Yevgeny Primakov, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo remarked Russia Bangladesh relation as a Legacy of Friendship and Cultural Exchange as it remains as a symbol of strong diplomatic and cultural ties.
A festive concert held with the participation of the artistic groups of the Russian Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and the Dance Group “Happiness”. They performed various Russian and Bengali folk dances and songs.
Alongside other distinguished dignitaries, esteemed cultural figures and renowned academicians of Bangladesh shared their valuable insights.
The Russian House in Dhaka remains committed to expanding cooperation, fostering new opportunities, and strengthening the historic friendship between Russia and Bangladesh.
