Dhaka March 04 2025:
Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh called on Foreign Secretary Ambassador Jashim Uddin at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
Both sides discussed issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral ties. In this context they discussed, among others, education, skills development and healthcare cooperation.
The Foreign Secretary emphasized the importance of enhanced collaboration between technical and vocational institutes and greater scholarship opportunities for Bangladeshi students. The Ambassador highlighted initiatives to deepen people-to-people exchanges.
On the Rohingya issue, the Foreign Secretary appreciated China’s continued engagement and hoped for further assistance in facilitating a sustainable repatriation. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing optimism about the future trajectory of Bangladesh-China relations.
