Dhaka March 10 2025:
A festive evening was organized at the Russian House in Dhaka recently to celebrate International Women’s Day with the Association of Soviet/Russian Alumni of Bangladesh.
More than 100 guests gathered in a warm atmosphere to congratulate women on this spring holiday. Each participant received flowers and souvenirs symbolizing love, respect, and recognition of their contribution to the development of culture and education.
This year the event coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, which inspired the Russian House to organize a joint iftar- the first evening meal after sunset after a whole day of fasting. Guests, regardless of religion were able to share a traditional meal, emphasizing the spirit of unity and mutual respect.
The event continued with a discussion on future-plans, including new cultural initiatives that will continue to bring Bangladesh and Russia closer through education, art and mutual understanding.

ঢাকা রুশ ভবনে সোভিয়েত/রুশ প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীদের সংগঠনের সাথে আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস উদযাপন উপলক্ষে সম্প্রতি এক আনন্দঘন সন্ধ্যার আয়োজন করা হয়। উষ্ণ পরিবেশে ১০০-র বেশি অতিথি একত্রিত হয়ে এই বসন্ত উৎসবে নারীদের শুভেচ্ছা জানান।
অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষভাবে ৫০ জন নারীকে ঢাকাস্থ রাশিয়ান হাউসের পক্ষ থেকে স্মরণীয় ক্রেস্ট এবং ফুল উপহার হিসেবে প্রদান করা হয়, যা ভালোবাসা, শ্রদ্ধা ও সংস্কৃতি এবং শিক্ষার বিকাশে তাদের অবদানের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
এ বছর এই অনুষ্ঠান পবিত্র রমজান মাসের সঙ্গে মিলে যায়, যা ঢাকাস্থ রাশিয়ান হাউসকে একটি সম্মিলিত ইফতারের আয়োজন করতে অনুপ্রাণিত করে—যেখানে সারাদিন রোজা রাখার পর সূর্যাস্তের পর প্রথম আহার গ্রহণ করা হয়। ধর্ম নির্বিশেষে অতিথিরা ঐতিহ্যবাহী খাবার ভাগ করে নেন, যা ঐক্য ও পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধার চেতনাকে আরো সুদৃঢ় করে।
অনুষ্ঠানটি ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে আলোচনার মাধ্যমে অব্যাহত থাকে, যেখানে নতুন সাংস্কৃতিক উদ্যোগের ওপর গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়, যা শিক্ষা, শিল্প এবং পারস্পরিক বোঝাপড়ার মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশ ও রাশিয়াকে আরো ঘনিষ্ঠভাবে সংযুক্ত করবে।
